Seven Quick Takes

One.
Halloween! My favorite. I'm a flapper, Eric is my cute, golfer husband. I won most creative costume at school today. Yay. Pictures will be up later this weekend!

Two.
Ramona has been eating our trash lately. Gross. First, she was stealing bagels. Now, she's eating tampons. Oh dear, time for cans with lids!

Three.
I have one kid at school who had swine flu this week. Look out! I've been pretty healthy so far. Just a little sinus yuck at the start of this week. No sickies for me!

Four.
My sister said she's going to dress Alivia up as a ladybug. I can't wait to see pictures! I love that girl. She's fun. I get to see everyone again next weekend since we're going down there for Dad and Chris's birthdays. Yay!

Five.
Sometimes it's hard to think of seven things, and I think that's sad. Oh dear.

Six.
We're leaving for our party soon! Hooray, it will be lots of fun.

Seven.
Ramona's whining. She wants a belly rub. Off I go to soothe the beast!

I'm doing blog share!

Every now and again, And You Know What Else holds a "blog share." I found out about this when a blog I follow participated. I thought it was really cool, so I bookmarked the blog and waited for the next share to be announced.

Well, hooray! The next blog share is going to be on November 4! And I'm going to participate.

Basically, "the point of Blog Share is that you write a post about anything you want. It will be posted anonymously on someone else’s blog." I will write about something and email it to her. She'll send me back someone else's post. I'll put it on my blog, along with a list of all the participants. It's nice, because you know who's participating, but you don't know who wrote what - it's all anonymous. Fun!

Wedded-ness

Oh, hey! I'm back!!

Wow, this past week has been awesome. Awesome. First, the wedding was just phenomenal. So fun. LOVED my dress. Oh yes, and definitely love my hubby.


Then, the honeymoon. Four days in balmy Palm Beach, FL. It was wonderful!!

Seven Quick Takes

One.
I'm getting married. Tomorrow. Yay! I guess everything's ready to go. I still have to write my vows (whoops! but, Eric hasn't written his yet, either). Oh, and pack for Florida. The weather looks like it's going to make it - some showers in the morning, but nice and clear and cool for the evening. My mom and sisters are coming up today for manicures and last minute details. Hooray!

Two.
I haven't been sleeping well at all this week. Lots of anxiety. Not about anything in particular, just in general. I can't wait until Saturday night! Ahh, sweet sleep.

Three.
I get to see sweet Alivia again today! In the past three weeks she's started crawling, pulling herself up on things, and has a tooth. Slow down, girl! She just turned 6 months on Sunday. Here's a really cute picture.

Four.
President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize today "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples." So, that's pretty cool. Makes me proud. However, I may not be so proud (to be a Virginian, anyway) come November. Deeds isn't doing so well in the polling against McDonnell. Oh dear, I think McDonnell will be a disaster for our state! Sigh.

Five.
I think I might have a bit more to do today than I first anticipated this morning. But no stressing for me - I don't want to stress. It's going to be fun!!!

Six.
I put up the 'ferocious' picture of Ramona in my classroom by the homework basket and tardy sign-in sheet. The kids think she's scary. I told them if they come tardy or forget their homework, I'm bringing her in to school to get them. Then I told them she was really just yawning. But it was fun to see their faces for a second, not quite sure if they should believe me or not. Ha! Good times.

Seven.
I really like the Genius playlists in the updated version of iTunes. All I have to do is pick one song I feel like listening to, hit the Genius button, and the program pulls about 20 songs that are in the same genre for a playlist. It's great! Try it out sometime.

I love this picture of Ramona because it looks like she's super-ferocious, but really, I just caught her in the middle of a yawn. :)

Oh, and isn't her sweater cute? I bought it for her at Crafty Bastards on Saturday. It has a skull and crossbones on the back!
