Busy = My Life

I am VERY very busy. I have a crazy-immature class of freshmen, a parent threatening to sue the school, countless meetings eating up my time, an online course to facilitate, stacks and stacks of papers to grade, appointments to get to, a dog to walk, etc..........................

I'm tired.

Mushrooms

Eww, that's a really fuzzy, hard-to-see picture b/c I took it with my phone at night. Anyway, I saw this mass in the backyard and couldn't figure out what had fallen into the yard. Until I walked up to it. And realized it was a massive growth of orange mushrooms. Yuck. The whole mass was bigger than my head. Oh my!

I'm very frustrated today. Very much so. I don't want to go into it, but let me just tell you that it has to do with these sweet babies and my husband. Urgh.

I saw this video today over at The Whore of All the Earth and felt compelled to share. Gooood times.

Oh. And PS. How long is it going to take before the people in charge start pointing out that it was this exact sort of blithe acceptance of hatred toward an entire group of people that allowed the Holocaust to begin... and continue for over six years...? At one point today he actually called it off. But then, is it back on, again?

Back to school, back to school

Today was the first day of school. I like the first day, but I don't really get to know the students very well because we have our orientation rotation (20-ish minutes with the kids) and then all seven classes, which are only about 16 minutes, each.

I have to say, though, the kids were super impressed with my amazing name-remembering skills. Let's see how well I do when they're wearing different clothes, tomorrow!

PS. I wore the green dress, today. And I went with the dark buttons. A total hit!! Lots of compliments. Yay.
